As a sophomore Herschel Dixon was a part of an IHSA Sectional Championship Team, the first Sectional Championship in boys track in school history! Jeff Still-Inducted 1998-Football and Baseball Assistant Coach from 1991-97. Individuals are recognized in one of three categories: athlete, coach and friend of WVHS. There is also a fully equipped weight room, a wrestling room, a football field enclosed by a 400-meter recycled rubber running track and a soccer stadium.
